The lay of the land

Back to Prague this weekend. It's been eleven (!!!) years since my first trip here. (I visited with my college boyfriend when I was nineteen.) Found all the familiar sights and discovered some new ones over the past few, gloomy days. Starting to run up against some of the realities of what it may be like to live here. I better warm up to using my language skills. Or, as my husband says, "search myself", so that I don't end up hiding in our flat, afraid to interact. And I will have to be okay with relying on others, making mistakes, and not always being able to express myself in the way I'd like to. This will be good for me, right?
